Uber meant something else in 1940...

 

       This is the earlier Rubicon model of a Citroen, painted up as a taxi.               Historically speaking the French army has employed them well in Two World Wars.   

                                     

 

Starting Somewhere. (Ahead Out of Arras)

 

This is the start of a Early WW2 scenario I am going to call "Ahead Out of Arras"  It's a menagerie of British, French and Belgian forces that prior to the Battle of Arras on the 21st of May 1940, were disorganized and trying to respond to the movement of German troops through the Arden.  Before the WW2 button counters E-flail me for inaccuracy in street lay out, building locations, Troop compilations I'm going to state that accuracy is not my goal here as much as fun game play and Ascetic.

These are buildings purchased from Crescent Root Studio, Mark does an incredible job of making both sturdy and beautiful buildings.

This is only the older residential section of town, across the canal I am placing a more industrial area and a rail line. This is just the start of the game board, small details are still in the works.

             This Long forgotten villa was a artillery spotting outpost for the Germans in a skirmish game I played using the Rule Set Battlegroup. It's the set of rules I finally decided on.

 The Opposite side of the River in the Scenario " Ahead Out of Arras!" is going to be a little more industrial. It is far from complete. 

There is a ton of Detail work going into this, Trees, vehicles, signs and other street furniture. Most of these buildings are from Crescent Root Studios.

There was a pick up game at a local get-together and they needed some terrain. (Desperately). I had some Chicago buildings from Old Glory25 and I got to join in. 

This is the Squad I ran. The more serious gamers were a bit annoyed that a ran a team of Movie (Kelly's Heroes), Comics (Srgt. Rock), and TV show characters (Tales of the Gold Monkey) figures. Hey till this point they were the only thing I had. Over all the figures (Warlord's) of the other players were nice but I think the rules I will choose will be other wise.
